Hi,
Note: you can get more attention posting on the right subforum ;-)
that IMHO is https://lifein19x19.com/viewforum.php?f=19
Anyway, thankyou for posting and sharing your goban pictures.
According to my limited experience, I can see you have a very nice board.

Re: Young players still a mystery?
It's the same in go. People bleat about not finding opponents for a face-to-face game. When I started in go I had to travel 300 miles (and back) to get such a game. No sgf files then, of course; and no proper go sets - I used tiddlywinks. From my perspective, we are now awash with go players in the ...

Hi, Wish you many happy games. Thank you very much!

Hope it helps.

Re: Help identifying japanese material
About the stones, I fell in love with the light stripes.
The seller claimed that these are snow suwabute.
It is not really something that bothers me: I bought these to enjoy and because I love japanese made material.
Still I am curious: anyone can say if it is possibly a suwabute set?

Help identifying japanese material
Hi everyone,
it's my turn to ask support to identify this new material I acquired as a late birthday self gift.
The stones are 8 mm snow quality, they came with their goke, but I don't know which wood they are made of.

What a nice find!
I miss that in the West you can find near to nothing suitable for children and these basic techniques are very useful to learn reading.

Understanding which stones to buy
¡Hola a todos!
I can remember when I started and I was looking to buy my very first set and I had problem to find also the basic information that were not only plainly advertising this or that.
Here I found a new interesting idea: a not so costy set - less than 9 € - made of twelve pairs of all the ...

Re: Help with Books, Articles or Videos on Modern Josekis
Welcome back to GO!
Interesting topic and question.
You probably just know that, but I found useful some YouTube videos, in good english, from the korean Go Pro Yeonwoo about new joseki and 3-3 invasion

Re: Help identifying the wood of a goban
Thank you for sharing these pictures, I think that japanese material is, by far, the best around.
I have a kaya table goban and a new kaya traditional floor goban, but I am not an expert.
According to the legs and the ki-ura cut, it seems to me that the wood is in fact katsura (previous ...

I also used Buyee for buying from Japan with good results.
There are goods that are difficoult, up to impossible (or soo expensive) to find elsewhere than in Japan.
Thank you for the review.
