Re: 20-27" lay-flat touchscreen computer/tablet as board?
Would make a nice coffee table at home, and an excellent tool for study and analysis, but there's just something nice about a decent board and real stones which won't be replaced...

If john is the last kid to be fed, the others are not hungry. If lee is the last to lose, everyone else ...

Should there be a "not" somewhere in this sentence?

Re: Did AlphaGo help spread the popularity of the game?
Instead of thinking of AlphaGo's victory as an historic first, I prefer to think that Lee Sedol was the last human to be beaten by a computer.

Hi Nial,
Which version of Hikaru did you enjoy:
original Japanese dialogue with subtitles (which language?),
or dubbed dialogue (which language) ?
Since your child is only 5, perhaps it was a dubbed version ?
We are watching the original version. I read the english subtitles and translate them ...

Anyone have children who play?
I've recently started playing Go, and of course my 5 year old son got very curious and is learning too (25 episodes of Hikaru No Go and counting probably contributes). We have just started playing some games on OGS and he is wondering if there are any children on there?

Analysed game files
Hey,
I'm new to this site so apologies if I'm missing something obvious, but when browsing around recently I saw some game files with commentaries and branches and discussions. I thought these would make for some excellent study material, but I can't seem to find them again. Is there an archive or ...

Hi from Sweden
Hey all,
I've known the rules of Go for years but never played more than a few casual games, and never studied anythng. Watching the commentaries on the recent AlphaGo vs Lee Sedol games reminded me just how cool this game is. Currently re-watching Hikaru No Go too, so very enthusiastic to improve ...
