Things I might consider:
- Random move in the center, let's say J9. This is probably not unexpected enough to be the answer, and also it would be very hard to guess the exact correct spot.
- Peeping at D9. if white just connects I can't see how it can be a bad exchange. Maybe white can try to punish ...

Re: Let's study AlphaGo's opening book
So, any bets of the first pro to open themselves to ridicule and play this crude move just because AG said so? There was the similar crude bumping in the game vs Gu Li , which Kono Rin then copied.

Re: Half point loss
Here's my two cents:
B9: I prefer hane, top is not very interesting since you have a solid but low position in the top-right
B17: I think you have to block C14. It threatens the cut and left side is much more interesting than the top anyway

Re: Kingo
Ignoring the "captures have to be made with kings" option for the moment, I see two extreme-case strategies resulting:
1. All moves are king moves by both players, in which case the game deteriorates into capture-go, or

In amashi games it's not uncommon for the one playing amashi to have 5 or more groups while ...

Re: Tsumego from your games
Hi EdLee! Nice job, jumping down should be the correct move for white, and your variation is one way black could play, to get corner in sente. But if black is really serious about killing white, he can still force a (somewhat heavy) two step ko after white's jump.

Tsumego from your games
How about a thread where we post tsumego from our own games for others to solve? Of course it doesn't have to be exactly same as in your game. Feel free to modify the positions if it makes them more suitable for tsumego, or you can post situations that could have happened but in the end never did ...
