Re: ZBaduk - LeeLa Zero from your webbrowser
Unfortunately our Russian backend server has been down since yesterday evening.
ZBaduk uses a low-end backend server to do its LeeLa Zero calculations (~100usd/mo).
Because this server is down, most functionality of the website is unavailable.
The cloud service provider has been contacted, and is ...

Re: Flag Wbaduk
@karaklis , in my case even worse. When I log-in to the website, it clearly says that my country is "Belgium". But during actual play using the client, for some reason it shows the flag of Indonesia.
I find this very annoying, but I searched and searched and searched, and there seems to be ...

Re: retrieve old wbaduk games
In mean time I discovered why I failed to backup them in the first place.
You would expect to find your files in C:\Program Files (x86)\WBaduk\Gibo
But in more recent versions of windows they are no longer stored there.
Instead they are actually stored in the following path:

Re: Memorizing Pro Games?
It's a good thing to have a continious flow of fresh ideas , new inspiration, new opinions, new moves, new strategies.
Pro games do contain a lot of information.
When I study pro games, I like to use a real board.
But I put my laptop next to it. I tend to use a database system (e.g. kombilo) to ...

retrieve old wbaduk games
I cleared my hard disk a couple of weeks ago and reinstalled windows.
I took a copy of my wbaduk folder before doing so, because I though they contained my ngf files.
Unfortunately, it turned out that those files were actually stored elsewhere.
I didn't backup that folder though.

Re: Is olive oil OK for caring Slate stones?
I wouldnt use olive oil. Olive oil is likely to give a yellow color to your stones. The whole point is to avoid getting dirt inside the stone. Therefor carwax is a good idea. On the other hand, Use sewing machine oil, only for the slate stones, not for the shell. Sewing machine oil will make them ...

Re: eurogoserver.com - new server , no flash, no java :)
I'll try it on my wii as soon as possible
.
Reminds me a bit of go shrine which is also:
- realtime
- no flash
- no java
but go shrine has some visualization issues when zooming in/out.

Re: books + board + stones + bowls
It really depends on shipping costs ...
Go books on their own are not that expensive.
Why don't you put all the books on ebay ?
I would split them up though in 3 lots:
- Beginner books:
- Dictionaries
- Asian books
You can still offer combined shipping if somebody wins more than one lot.

Hi,
I took a look at the first moves of the game.
Some things do jump out.
I hope this is useful and motivating.
Greetings,
Bram Vdb.

Note: Black loses sente. Now white can also answer this move with T15. T15 is sente! (if black ignores it ...

Re: New app for iPad
About the price:
The main reason: 50% of that price tag goes entirely to apple.
All due respect, it's only 30%. I don't see why you need to exaggerate.
*deep sigh*
Looks like I'm a bit off, it's actually 40%. (see screenshot below)
(But you're exaggerating just as much in the other direction ...
