Re: PGETC 2018/9

Really ? Usually, when the accusation don't find you guilty, you're acquitted. How does it works here?

When someone is acquitted (with a "Sentenza di proscioglimento") in Italy there are two possible results:

You can have a "Sentenza di non doversi procedere" = the accusation was invalid or ...

Re: PGETC 2018/9

So what the Panel Board is going to do if he will play like last year (when he was acquitted at the end)? They agree with that acquittal?

He was not acquitted.

"We do not think that it was proven without a reasonable doubt that Carlo Metta broke any rules" means that the first accusation was ...

Re: My go collection

You have a great collection with a lot of history! It feels special.

I am on the other end of the spectrum.

I have enough cheap sets to organize a medium sized tournament by myself. In my defence I used to loan them to new players (a few set are still in the wild), so I still consider them wise ...

Re: What methods have you ACTUALLY TESTED to get new members

The club where I used to play is in a city with a lot of students. A lot of new people every year (~8-10k new students), young and with the need of new social groups, so it was a fertile grounds for recruitment.

Conventions and stands where we teach to play never worked. Comic themed, japanese ...

Re: Advice for someone playing to fast

In real life tournaments I solved the problem by writing a kifu.

The act of pausing for a second to write down my opponent moves avoided the impulsive answers.

Re: EGC 2018

@ Pangolino: That's great, thanks a lot! I'm there and I'd like a recommendation where I can get the best icecream in Pisa?

Everyone will suggest you De Coltelli , because it is an historical gelateria. That's good, it is on the Arno riverside and it has great gelato, local ingredients, very ...

Re: EGC 2018 Arrival - Local Bus?

Right!

Airport > Train Station:

Pisa Mover, website , there are signs everywhere in the airport, you can't miss it. 2.70€. It is an automated shuttle that leaves the airport every 7 minutes. It is called exactly like that on signs.

Train Station > Congress Palace

Red LAM, website , it is called ...

Re: EGC 2018 Arrival - Local Bus?

The Pisa Mover ticket is 2.70€ (yes, it is a lot, everyone hates the Pisa Mover)
I wish £2.70 was a lot for a bus ticket here!

When I went to Pisa on holiday some years ago I got from the airport to the city fine on my own as a foreign tourist who doesn't speak Italian. Lovely city, I recommend ...

Re: EGC 2018 Arrival - Local Bus?

I don't know if there is a planned shuttle service specifically for the egc, but the "regular" way would be to take the "People Mover" from the airport to the train station.

From there you can either take the Red LAM in direction Cisanello (the other direction will take you there all the same, but ...
