I suck at Nethack but I like it.
I'm really into Dwarf Fortress currently (fortress mode, so it's not really a roguelike), best video game ever made by Man.
I've always wanted to give Stone Soup a try, but never found the time to do it.

Are you aware that your opponent may well not speak a word of English? He uses the automatic translation in order to be polite. No reason to want to respond rudely.

That's why I don't respond at all.
But if they think it is polite to set an automatic greeting macro, then it's a big FAIL. I find ...

If it's automatic, is it still a greeting ?

If my oppponent doesn't want to type a simple "hello", I'd rather get no greeting at all than some automatic message.

I have no problem with people who only come online to play Go and who don't want to interact, but come on ... a macro to say "hi" ? I ...
