Re: Go Magic Project (official discussion)

We are still working on the beta and in the meantime we've started a small series of videos about the magic of Go.
The future Go Magic course videos will look similar visually.

Re: Go Magic Project (official discussion)

Fundamentally, one stop shops are a dead end in the Internet era. People are finding an enormous amount of quality content for free. Unless you are a professional go player offering teaching, there is no way of competing on quality content, let alone if you make people pay for it. Either you find ...

Re: Five Sacrifice Problems for Dans

Can we maybe get hidden solutions to these problems? I haven't learnt to post diagrams here but i'm clueless about problem #4. If white sacrifices a stone at move 4 the whole sequence seems fairly straightforward but I don't see a way to avoid damezumari (if we refuse to play the ko that is). Help!

Can you give me a tip where to find this movie? Is it Japanese only or does it have subtitles or a translation?

Re: What are the features you are looking forward to the mos

I'm sorry, are you saying you're gonna put them to that uservoice or do i have to do it? Cause in the latter case i have no idea where that uservoice is...
I do understand that these mini games are below the rating system and escaper policy but i honestly believe that hundreds of people in the go ...

Re: What are the features you are looking forward to the mos

I'm not sure, it may well be that these features already exist on kayags but i'm going to ask anyway.
1. One-color go.
2. 17 stones survival go.
Got any of these? :)

Re: Trick play: 3-5 low approach, 3-2 invasion. Thoughts?

it would be very interesting to know what Go Seigen says about the first variation you showed where white cuts and gets a small corner and black gets good shape on the outside))

Re: Trick play: 3-5 low approach, 3-2 invasion. Thoughts?

So Go Seigen says the correct answer doesnt involve cutting those stones apart?

Anyway it seems like the kind of book i will never lay my hands upon. Any other REALLY peculiar joseki positions like this one? Care to post one or two? :)

Re: Trick play: 3-5 low approach, 3-2 invasion. Thoughts?

Thats very nice! Where did you find this trick play? Since its not a standard bookish hamete sequence ...somebody just invented it?
Where can i find other cool trick moves like this one? Any links?

Re: Trick play: 3-5 low approach, 3-2 invasion. Thoughts?

I can't figure out how to make a diagram so i'll just have to go with words))

So black plays his trick move low approach, white separates as usual, black attaches to the 2 white stones on the right and now---white makes a jump attachment to the first black stone! Is there a good way for white to ...
