I just play with Leela Zero 287. Is KataGo significantly stronger?
Also I found out that one cannot see so-far prisoners when playing a board or do I oversee something?

Re: Attack from your weakness towards your strenght?
The rule doesn’t apply to your scenario because one stone is always negligible. What the rule has in mind is that you have some strong structure on the right side and on the left side two or three or four weaker stones in a loose formation and the opponent splits you with a stone in the middle then ...

Attack from your weakness towards your strenght?
The situation is this: your opponent is between two groups of you: one groups of yours is weak, one is strong. Is there a general strategy to attack from your weak side or is this non-liquet and dependable too much from specifics to make a general rule?

Re: Why does AGA not push KGS into a decent web-interface?
They would just need to pay the author of shinKGS to finish the web-browser KGS. Not magic. I just wonder what their plans are about KGS.

Why does AGA not push KGS into a decent web-interface?
KGS is a really good and stable Go place with simplicity. But since years it loses people because the java-client is just not up to date anymore. Shin‘s KGS website is working but does not offer the whole package. Why is AGA not updating KGS into a web-browser like OGS? KGS would flourish again and ...

Re: Kellin Pelrine Beats AI
How about taking advantage of the horizont problem by making the game as complex as possible so that even top AI cannot look forward too much and beyond the horizon it would be a 50/50 chance that the complexity is in favor of the human.

How is KGS doing?
Lately I came back to KGS, thx mainly to shinKGS where you can play on your tablet or phone as well. How does KGS doing in term of the future? It is slowly dying, it is idle, is it maybe even reviving?
Re: KGS AI
I tried the new KGS AI. Its 10.99 per month for the best and deepest version, 5.99 for a lesser version who does not search that deep. Its fun and helpful because it serves effectively as a teacher because you not only get the best possible move but also lesser moves and its continuations. The AI is ...

Re: How to make KGS better?
After using it for months now I agree. A good piece and the only one that works with iOS. Its creator should really think about putting it into the App-store for some bucks.Kirby wrote:shin.gokgs.com has a decent set of functionality.
KGS AI
Didn't know KGS had this new feature: KGS AI (but you have to install the newest version of CGOBAN). The feature seem a little odd at first, but definitely a step into the right direction. The AI does not value the moves in a standard way with winning percentage, and the graph seems not either ...

Re: How to make KGS better?
But it is not 100% of what you get with the client. KGS could close the gap to other servers if someone would make it run everythere equally. What did the AGA do with KGS anyway, it looks like no progress or ideas.Kirby wrote:shin.gokgs.com has a decent set of functionality.

Re: How to make KGS better?
What we‘d need is a client that works under all main systems: windows, ios, macos, android. KGS itself is complete. I like its plain and simple surface.

Re: "A Master of Go", iOS/iPadOS Go AI app
So I bought the app, but I can just start a game or study, not upload a sgf. How‘s that?
Also can someone give me a rough strength estimation of
Leela Master GX89
Leela Zero 287
SAI 734
