Ever since KGS moved to its new location I've had severe lag problems. Clicking on stones and waiting for 1 second for it to appear is not unusual.
It seems some people are not experiencing this at all while others report a similar problem. I thought I'd poll to see how widespread this issue is.

KGS Android Resolution requirement?
I was thinking about picking up a Samsung Intercept on VM (The 25$ plan with unlimited data sounded nice)
But the specs on the phone look pretty dismal. 240 x 400 resolution? Would that be enough to run the KGS client?

Re: viewing an SGF at specific move number on the command li
Forcing a GTP-aware client to begin a GNU Go session from a specific SGF file at a certain move number might be an interesting hack, thanks.
In the meantime, SmartGo is the only client I have found so far that seems to be able to open to a specific move.

viewing an SGF at specific move number on the command line?
Does anyone know of an SGF viewer/editor that will accept a move number as a command line argument along with an SGF file, and open it to that specific move number?

Re: go4go.net email service
I believe the proprietor of Go4Go has been on a trip from which he recently returned. Updates should hopefully resume soon.

Re: Digitally projected go board
Here's an interesting project carried out at MIT involving projecting markup onto a real goban (with stones):

Re: Any suggestion on how to embed eidogo on wordpress?
You will not be able to use Eidogo with a Wordpress.com hosted blog. Javascript is only supported indirectly through certain shortcodes.

You could petition them to add an Eidogo shortcode, but I would imagine the chances of them doing so are rather remote.
If you really want Javascript, you may ...

Re: SGF Lines & Arrows
Thank you all for your input. The color-blind filter was very interesting. I added an outer stroke to the arrow rendering so that they stand out a bit better.

Re: SGF Lines & Arrows
I decided to implement lines & arrows in my project. I have them working, but there are some interesting considerations to make:
⋅ What color should lines & arrows be? Should they be different colors?
⋅ When an arrow is drawn to a cell containing a stone, should it touch the ...

Re: Go board bitmaps
I made this image from the bottom of my table board:
Spruce/shinkaya?
Possibly so. I purchased it from Yellow Mountain on ebay before I was knowledgeable about such things, and no longer have the receipt. It does seem to have a rather wide grain compared to images of genuine Kaya boards.

Re: SGF Lines & Arrows
I agree that line support on KGS would be a great addition. Many times I have seen people in reviews attempt to draw lines staircase- style with the square markup tool. Real lines & arrows would be incredibly useful for explaining radiating influence, sector boundaries, illustrating moyo, etc.

Re: Drago 4.10 release available - fuseki game trees
I recall trying Drago some years ago - I'm not sure why I didn't care for it at the time, but I wound up using MultiGo for the past few years. I must say though I have installed the latest version of Drago - and it looks very likely to replace Multigo as my editor/viewer of choice.
