Every few updates that are sent out for the program usually contain a new set of games that are added to the database i believe.
I downloaded the program around March and have updated it several times since - but the latest professional game has always been 3-12-2010 :/ I know that you can ...

Updating the game library on Smartgo pro for ipod touch
Anybody know if this is possible? I've scoured the interwebs for an answer - to no avail.

Re: The Shodan Go Bet
Mildly amusing that someone would actually believe that a computer will not beat them in the next ~50 years..
( A computer 50 years ago.. )
Computers will beat humans in Go much sooner than in 50 years, unless an unforeseen "wall" is hit. But it works both ways, we might make practical quantum ...

A strong and freely available 9x9 program
Anybody know of anything? I'm a KGS 2k and I wanted to download a program to play 9x9 games against for a little tactical practice - preferably one that can kick my butt (and doesn't cost money (or too much, anyways)). It would also be cool if anybody knew of an iPhone app that had a strong 9x9 ...

Funding for university Go Club
Thanks, dtslife. That's definitely helpful, and it's quite useful to know that the AGF will do fund matching up to $50 for college clubs.

Re: International Baduk Academy. Where has it been?
I had the same problem when I was looking for go schools in Korea that are open to foreigners. Based on what is available beyond Lee Kibong, it looks rather expensive. The most appealing option, I think is the Korean Baduk Center in Budapest, Hungary. We're talking about something like 150 Euros a ...

Re: Starting a Go Club at College
Don't sell SUNY Potsdam short. You also have Clarkson students to draw from. It's possible some students have seen the Hikaru no Go anime. It is available on Hulu. You should offer free food (pizza?). You might get some limited financial support from the student government to get started. Mention ...

Starting a Go Club at College
Hi all,
I'm thinking about starting up a go club at my school. I think for go to spread, it really has to be a grassroots movement and start at the local club level. That being said, its a pretty daunting task. My school isn't known for being all too intellectual, and though it is a fairly large ...

Aiming at Shodan by 2011
Hey all,
This is one of my first posts to this site - and I figured that I would share my current ambitions for improvement with you all. I have known how to play go for a few years, but I have focused my efforts so sporadically (taken long breaks without ever playing or thinking about go, etc ...

Re: Studying Go in China or Taiwan
I wish I knew. I'm in Guangzhou, China right now - and I have honestly had a hard time finding anybody who even knows how to play. I ask around all the time, hoping to find a club, or a group of players or something, but nobody is interested in the slightest. In southern China, evidently, they all ...
