Re: Prokovich Game #2

I have no idea where a pro would play, but I'd probably play something like this:

Playing in 21x21 or bigger

I was just wondering if anyone here has tried to play on boards bigger than 19x19. Is it fundamentally different than playing in a normal-sized board? Is it more complicated or simply somewhat different?

Edit: also, did anyone tried to play in a rectangular board (say, 19x21)? How do you think the ...

This is a game I played last week as white. I decided to review it quickly (I only looked at it attently at the middlegame) today and saw some very bad mistakes:

I think I should have played move 200 at Q10, and probably should have ...

White's move seems obvious now, of course...

Re: Dankovitch I: Shaddy vs. dts

Despite being only a double digit kyu I'll at least try to understand the moves and make a very rough guess at what will happen next. I hope I don't say something stupid:

The move I would probably make without thinking is G14, but I understand it's a very bad move for white because of this, right ...

Re: Hello!

I've also told about Go to my friends recently, some of them got interested, but the lack of a goban really gets in the way.
when I first learned the game and couldn't afford to get a "real" goban, I used a Pente game board for my first one (they're the same size). Next I got some plywood at a ...

Hello!

Hi, I'm Luiz, I'm 16 and I love Go! I discovered go in the last year, but I stopped playing a few months ago, and this week I've rediscovered it. I'm currently 17 kyu at KGS, and I feel like I still have to learn a lot, but it take it easily. After all, I play because it's fun. Anyone wants to play ...
