Re: Hello, Anybody from Indonesia?

Halo, karaklis.

wowh, km orang mana memangnya?
malaysia kah? orang indo gak sedikit kuq.. ada lebih dari 1000an orang yg main n terdaftar sebenarnya. n qt rutin setiap tahun mengadakan kejuaraan tingkat nasional maupun internasional.
mari bantu saya perluas igo di indonesia supaya catur tergeser dari sana.haha..haha..
karena igo jauh lebih menarik dari catur.

Re: Hello, Anybody from Indonesia?

Re: Hello, Anybody from Indonesia?
Let's turn back to English
Yeah back in the day when I was in Indonesia I met a lot of strong chess players (i.e. a lot stronger than me, because I am quite weak at chess). That was in 1993, but I think things haven't changed much in that regard. I am also wondering why go hasn't become more popular in Indonesia. I agree with you that go is actually much more interesting and aesthetic than chess (though chess has of course also its own beauty). Here in Germany go isn't popular either, it was pure luck that I found it. Unfortunately when I started to learn it more seriously (in 2008), I was quite old.
How did you get introduced to go?

Re: Hello, Anybody from Indonesia?
owh. I see.
I'm introduced to go by watching anime "Hikaru No Go" at first. Almost all of Indonesian go Player watch the anime at first so they all get interested. But, My improvement is really slow because of my lacking information (internet) at 2005. But, now I really have time for playing go.even in here, Kim Mong Dyung 6p Korean Pro player is teaching Indonesian players free chare in his apartment. so,I'll go there as many as possible (2times/week).
