Hi! I've been a member for a while, but pretty much lurking if around at all. I started a go journal in the appropriate section, so I'll be around more often.
I'm 40, married with kids, and living in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada. I'm most often on KGS, where I'm pretty social; sometimes I'll be on other servers, where I get in quick games without anything I'd call a social element at all. I've been playing Go on and off for about a decade now, and am around 8 kyu. I want to give back to Go, so I'm going to be trying seriously to make Shodan, or as near as I can get, over the next year, in hopes that I'll be better able to start up a Go community here, where the only Go player for thousands of kilometers seems to be me.
Oh, I tried making a video commentary on one of my own games. It was fun, actually, so I might do more. I put the first one up on my youtube channel www.youtube.com/yukontodd to see if people found it amusing. So far no one has, but I might put more up anyway: they amuse me, at least.
Nice to meet you.

Hey, if you (or anyone else for that matter) get the itch to come visit Whitehorse after looking at us on a map, drop me a line and let me know and we can get in some nice sub-arctic Go while you're here.
Thanks for the welcome, and, Jayy, I look forward to getting another game in with you sometime, hopefully soon, when things calm down enough for me to play some more.
I write Go-ing Shodan, a blog about trying to get through the sdk's. If you want to check it out, tenuki.
