21st Century Dictionary of Basic Joseki, Vol. 2 release date

Post by judicata »

According to Kiseido's website, the second volume is expected to be released in "August/September 2012." I was kind of hoping it would be available by the U.S. Go Congress, but it looks like that isn't happening (well, the first week of August is technically in that range, but experience tells me that's not how estimates work).

Anyone have additional info?

I searched for another post mentioning this, and only found a review thread in which this update would have seemed out of place. Apologies if I missed something.

Actually may be 2 weeks before the announcement in Kiseido website, I already asked them about it and they told me they were in the stage of revision/rewriting of the final 20% of the book and then a final review of the whole book.

Can't wait to do BUY !!

Yeah, gotta look at the bold text right below it: "Volume Two in preparation (available August/September 2012)"

Ah. Well perhaps (once you get to the order page) because it states that any books
not in stock will be backordered, you might be able to purchase it now, and once it
arrives, it'll ship out to ya?

I second that it would be awesome to be able to purchase this book at Congress. You heard it here. I will buy a go book that isn't problem/answer format :D

It will be nice to buy it when it comes out fresh off the press, but it's even better to order it before the end of Kiseido's summer sale and prepay for the book to get the discount and free shipping if you plan to order at least 3 books from from their range of books.
