i guessed odd. i will let you pick the color.

last game i played him i lost.
i had a chance to finish him and misread.
after that game i have review few of his game and came to conclusion that i am much stronger than he is.
i will prove above statement by playing my best game and win.

i will point out all of his mistake and what he should have done. this way obs can learn how i think.

i used to think that black has advantage..but now i like white better.
all i have to do is maintain the balance and 6.5 komi will be the difference maker at the end.

i hate any unortho dignal fuski so i always choose simple dignal position to stop opponents variation.

Normally the mini Chinese is played at 7, but a and b are en vogue now.

never seen that but i really dont care because we are not professional.
that one move means nothing to both of us unless we understand every possible variations...
i will not give him any big moyo and split whenever possible. later we both dont have any points and 6.5 will speak.

Weirdly, I have a memory of this move being a similar if slightly more violent version of the immediate pincer at J4, focussing on eventually getting a sabaki result around P4 but cannot find it in my database. I'm probably missearching/remembering somehow.

I do also broadly disagree that knowing/not knowing your fuseki is unimportant, which is a change of heart for me. Anyone who's played me recently knows I play exactly one fuseki as black and the homeground advantage seems non-trivial.
