I am having some difficulty with Easy Go and the fuseki database. It loads ok then when I try to go to the database, it crashes. I have been able to load Kogo's Joseki Dictionary without any problem, however.

Also, How do I unsplit problems in a single sgf file? Does Easy Go require separate sgf file for each problem or can I just use the single file?

Thanks for your help and the great work!

Robert

Please send me the Fuseki database or tell me where I can download it.
EasyGo requires separate sgf file for each problem. You could use the EasyGo "split game" function to split the game containing many problems.(that is, each problem is a child/variation of the root node). Currently, EasyGo doesn't support multi-part SGF, and I plan to support it in the future.

I've been wondering if Easy Go supported multi part SGF files. I'm glad to hear this is being planned for a future release. By the way, I've downloaded the Joseki Dictionary and it works perfectly in Easy Go. The surprising thing is this crashed Smartgo Kifu.

It was confirmed that the opening of Fuseki db(by Arno Hollosi) would lead to a crash. And the crash was due to a bug when displaying the tree view. I'm sorry for that. The bug will be fixed in next version.

The delete node is not working to split the sgf problems file into multiple problems files.

Would you be able to look at the delete function?

Thanks.

Delete node function is not used to split games. Please first select the appropriate node, then tap action button, then select "Split Game" to split.

hanekomu wrote:Hi,

I'm entering problems on a 19x19 board on an iPad in the lower right corner, fully zoomed, because that is how they are oriented in the book that I'm learning from. When I tap the left arrow button on the left side of the navigation bar, the visible board area doesn't change, which is fine. Except when I go all the way back to the first node; then it shows the upper left corner, still zoomed. So I have to drag back to the lower right corner.

Would it be possible, if all nodes are in only one part of the board, as they would be for local problems, to only show that part even in the first node?

Thank you.

I'll fix it. Currently, the zoomed board will be scrolled automatically to make the current move visible. As you mentioned, if the current node is the root node, and there is no move in the current node, the upper left corner will be shown. A simple solution is that if the current node has no move, then no auto scroll.

One feature suggestion:

It would be nice to be able to display move numbers on the stones in the game tree. (Currently, there is only an option to display move numbers on the stones on the board.)

Fine, I added it to the todo list.

I do enjoy a lot Easygo. I think it's the best app to work on problems on the iPad. One feature which I miss in Easygo is the ability to export the SGF to another application. I sometimes would like to move an SGF file to another applications (example: GoodReader, Mover+ or Smartgo but to do so, I need to go through the emails.
This is not unfortunately not possible while traveling as I can't receive the emails (no 3G services).

Could such feature be considered in the future? This would be a great addition IMHO.

I guess you just used the email sharing on problem mode. If you switch to game edit mode(by tap the action button in the toolbar), then you can tap the action button again, and you will find the "Open In" option, which does exactly what you want. Note: Due to iOS limitation, up to 10 applications will be displayed in Open In menu, please refer to this article for details: http://www.iphonejd.com/iphone_jd/2012/ ... -menu.html

As to the exported zip file listed under file manager, I plan to add a "Open In" function too.

Hi all,

EasyGo Lite is now available in Appstore, please check it out. It's free.
Although it has the following limitations, you can try almost all the functions(including unlimited import/export).
1. All the 2368 bundled problems are viewable, only the first 5 percent of problems under each category are available for practicing. (minimum 5, maximum 20 problems under each category)
2. For game replay, only the first 30 moves are allowed(the last two moves can't be replayed if total move number is less than 30). For game edit, only 30 moves can be input.
3. For problem practice under My Games, only the first two problems in each folder can be practiced.
4. Handling the game to other apps via Open In is disabled.

Yes, I can also reproduce this. Currently, it only occurs in portrait mode. I'll fix it in the next update.

Thanks for the update. I use this app more than SmartGo now because of the good editing features, but there is still one that really bothers me. On iPhone when the board is zoomed out to the farthest setting, you cannot see any of the star points on the board.

This makes it basically impossible to place stones when zoomed out because you cannot use the star points for positional reference.
