Video Lectures

Post by Nathan »

Inseong Hwang recently shared a lecture on the opening and attacking with the ASR league and posted it for free! It was the best lecture on go I have seen and really inspired me to think differently about my go. I just wanted to spread the word.

If other people know of some other exceptionally good lectures I am interested to learn about them.

I have seen some of Bats Lectures on youtube and enjoyed those as well.

He already posted himself (viewtopic.php?f=53&t=6189). But I agree, the lecture is very good!

Guo Juan's paid lectures are honestly really good. It's like 99 euros for a year, there are over 700 videos ranging from theory lectures to pro game reviews, and new lectures are posted with a good amount of regularity (in June alone there were 13 new videos posted). There's like 14 lectures just on star point opening, for example. Depending on your level some of the lectures will be either too basic or too advanced. But the level ranges from 20k upwards of 5d. There's plenty of content for pretty much any level. More worthwhile investment than any of the books I've purchased, tbh.

Unfortunately it relies on Java, so this means no watching it on an iphone, but she said they're working on an iphone / ipad version of the lectures for paid members.

I'm sure it sounds like I'm her internet marketing representative, but really the lectures are good.

Lmao at his reply to Uberdude's comment at 38 mins. XD Thanks for posting this.

Edit: Watched it to the end now. That was a great lecture. It started slow but got better and better as it went on.

If only I could get past the sign-up guardian: the missing 'captcha' image, or whatever it is called. I always have problems with these verification golems.
I was all ready to sign up and was sideswiped by this ghoul of the internet.

It's already in the title of another thread, but for videos you might want to check out weiqimaster on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/weiqimaster?feature=watch

Strange that you "always" have these problems. Ive never had a problem with a captcha or signup. Try a different browser maybe? Or have a friend make the account for you then login to change the password
