What's the point of allowing attachments to messages?

Re: Attachment Filetypes
First, you can show pictures without hassle of uploading them somewhere else and put the links between tags. It calls saving timekirkmc wrote:What's the point of allowing attachments to messages?
Second, if you want to store your game records on forum, just attatching it with your post =].
There are more to tell but I think the above 2 are enough to answer your question.

Re: Attachment Filetypes
For graphics, sure, but I don't see the use of allowing other types of attachments, such as .doc files, zip archives, etc. It seems to me there's too much of a security risk with these types of files.koks9dan wrote:First, you can show pictures without hassle of uploading them somewhere else and put the links between tags. Re: Attachment Filetypes
I hosted some of my software on gd before I moved it to sourceforge. It's not terribly good to host your software on a discussion board but it's very convenient.

Re: Attachment Filetypes
The problem with that is that on most boards only registered users can download an attachment.CarlJung wrote:I hosted some of my software on gd before I moved it to sourceforge. It's not terribly good to host your software on a discussion board but it's very convenient.
