I possibly should put this topic under Go equipement, but considering here's more people, and more chance i get the information i need.
Any one knows any place sell this kind of Go board? There's an article on Ranka about Universal Go board (http://ranka.intergofed.org/?p=3006) I've written them an email, but have not got any reply yet.
I also saw Audouard Pierre used a special designed board in EGC 2009, any one know where he got it?
Thanks.

This could also be very useful to those people contributing to the "do you play drunk" thread.
Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Re: Go board for people who suffers sight loss
I've sent you a private message with Pierre Audouard's email address.
Pierre has been slowly losing his sight for years. In 2008 at the Leksand European Go Congress, Pierre used a special bright yellow board with very thick lines, larger stones, and a bright spotlight on it. That was sufficient for him to still see the position with how his sight was at that time.
Hope you find what you're looking for!

Re: Go board for people who suffers sight loss
In John Fairbairns and T Mark Hall's book "The Go Companion" they mention a go board for blind people.
maybe they can help you getting this kind of board.
I am not sure if this board is good for bad sighted people. (it looks rather dark) but you can feel the stones without moving them.
(maybe a suggestion for the makers make it yellow)

Re: Go board for people who suffers sight loss
As far as I know, there hasn't been a standard board, or maker of boards like these.
I think Mr Audouard had his made specially for him.
Try http://senseis.xmp.net/?BlindGo for some references to other blind go boards.

Re: Go board for people who suffers sight loss
The board Pierre plays on is no longer available. It has the advantage to be portable too.
There is a possibility of a board for blind people coming from Japan some times in the future (according to Pierre).
I am part of Pierre students, and there is another person losing sight among our group of students. Any infos on a board for blind people would be greatly appreciated !
Cheers !

To add more to this, here is a presentation of a blind go board that was made in a WAGC a few years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVLUrtEipVk
