I'll push along here as long as I'm sure it is sente. Then I'll tenuki. I'm thinking the lower left would be good; if I can put pressure on D9 and strengthen the bottom side at the same time, that would be good. I also may be able to annoy L11 at some point, but I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet. We'll see how other things go, maybe some day I can make points by harassing that group.

usually what is playing is a good move...but in this game he gave me too much points in the beginning. also any points he expect from the center is pretty much gone because of solid shape i have in the middle. i will just take whatever point he gives me and finish this game with 10 point win and avoid all complication

Magicwand might tenuki now. It would be risky for him I think but there are enough big points elsewhere that he may do it. I'd like to tenuki myself but leaving just two stones there is too uncomfortable, I need to add a third before they are stable.

This will probably be my last update for a few hours.
YES! Now the fighting may really start. No idea where magicwand will play now. Left, bottom, attack one of my weaker groups on the top, maybe even play on the right - who knows? But a big fight could easily develop here.
Overall I'm surprised that magicwand has let me have sente as much as he has. He's been willing to follow me around a lot. That most likely means that he thinks I'm playing badly, and he's happy to let me choose which part of the board I'll screw up next. But even if he thought that was happening, I'm used to opponents who try harder to control where on the board we go next.

this is a probe. i want to see how he answer before making my move. i will tell you a quote from my master "there are 10,000 variations in the corner" i can not tell you all of them.. i might try some if i get the time... below is one variation that will leave ko in the corner. i just want to see if he answer as below.

For `black's last move I might have preferred to be more aggressive on his lone stone - say D7. Then, come back and patch the corner up in a more solid way. That's just how I'd play though - I can't say it's actually a good idea.
The smiley that appears whenever someone types "black" is annoying. . white?

Ok, now that it only triggers on colon black colon, it's good . Having it trigger on the word black alone wasn't good.

It's interesting to see how this game is unfolding. They're both playing a very "fast" low-commented game. I'm a little disappointed, because the comments are one of the really exciting things to read when done well. This is still an interesting game to watch, though.
And I know in the past, we usually see an advantage to the weaker player because they take more time, and usually think a lot more about each move. This stops them from making a lot of the mistakes they would normally make. Doesn't seem to be the case here.

I think that is the fate of this game... As magic wand said, he is now simply aiming to avoid interesting complications because he is ahead.

I have to admit, I knew that there was a trick to killing white here, so I did a quick poke through Kogo's dictionary and found it. Is it cheating to use reference works in play by forum like this? In real life, I would remember that there was a trick here, but I'd say I had a 50/50 chance at best of remembering or figuring the trick out. This is the first time I've used any outside help in a move...but knowing it was a trick, and knowing exactly where I could look the trick up, was too tempting.
Although it is depressing that Kogo's did call my double knight's move corner "almost always a mistake."

For wms:
Generally this is something decided by the players before the match begins. Some people say no dictionaries, databases, books, etc., and then other games have it all open no-holdem. At this point, you could ask Magicwand what he thinks, or just roll with what feels right by you. If you feel bad about it, don't do it anymore.
