Re: Nongshim cup 2012
I think that the normal reading for one of the Japanese players is Anzai Nobuaki.
Best wishes.

And the other would be Ida Atsushi.
However, I don't think they'll be in the tournament too long either way.
I'm debating whether Japan is being lazy and sending a b-team or if they're making a committed effort to getting their younger players on the international scene as early as possible to gain experience. Either way, it seems like another year where Japan will get no victories.

Re: Nongshim cup 2012
China and Korea both have preliminaries to choose who gets in. It's a bit strange that someone (who?) just chooses the Japanese team.

You're assuming they chose these people. It's very possible that they asked other "A-List" players, but they declined (because of the short time settings of course).

Re: Nongshim cup 2012
It's also surprising how good the hapless Japanese teams of recent years have been: http://senseis.xmp.net/?NongshimCup%2FTeams. This is the first time in a few years any of those players would fall outside of their top ten.

Re: Nongshim cup 2012
What is the format in this tournament? Does Tan Xiao keep playing until he loses?
