YMI Bamboo board + Single convex yunzi fit

So I am keen on buying this:

And these single convex yunzis:

Now, me being typically fussy, I didn't want to buy stones which are slightly bigger than the squares and push each other out of alignment. I've played on a friend's board before which had this problem and I couldn't stand it. I know it's a deliberate eastern culture thing, but it's something that just irritates me.

When I looked at the board on ebay a while back, I emailed YMI and asked for the dimensions of the squares - 22mm wide. The single-convex stones here measure at 22mm wide - exactly the same.

I'm hesitant to buy it, because I'm not sure how they fit. Does anyone else have the same board+stones and can tell me how well they fit in this regard.

I thought that was good only for double convex stones, as they "mount" slightly over each other. You can't get that effect with single convex.

Not that I've ever touched a single convex stone, though.

I think that YMI gets this stuff from China, and this type of set is a very common cheap set in China, so I think that it should work. I bought a board that looks very similar when I was in China, and I use it with the jade luster Yunzi (http://www.ymimports.com/p-1487-jade-luster-yunzi-single-convex-stones-22mm-size-3.aspx), which fit just fine.
