I've won my last 4 games and I feel pretty good about that. Just thought that I'd throw that in there
So I was wondering, the last game was pretty tough, they played at lightning speed (it was 30 mins each then 30x5 byoyomi but they had like, 26 mins on the clock at the end) and they ended up losing by a fair margin. But I felt like it was a pretty close game, well, kind of, "they're good enough for the game to become close again if I make one dumb move, and some of my groups look a bit dubious", you get the feeling.
Anyway, so I was getting close to passing, it was late endgame, I knew that I had won, and they (recklessly) started to invade my larger groups, now I knew they couldn't live there, it was way too small, and they knew they couldn't live there, either - but nevertheless, they played on. Now, I didn't mind, but I was pretty tired after thinking hard for an hour (late evening), and I just desperately wanted them to pass.
So, my question is, how far would you take it? What do you feel about trying to invade at late endgame in a group where you are almost certainly going to be killed? And, are there any rules about it? Of course, in theory, one could play again and again, ignoring the other person's passes, and the game could go on and on?
