Yes. Then I alternate between playing too quickly, and stalling until the last minute, then usually playing too quickly then.

Seriously, I am not sure that turn based servers are all that good for me, because I probably play faster than I do playing in realtime.
Yeah, I considered that and the contact one above it. I decided against it because all I seem to do is put White's move on the perfect disrupting shape point, and it doesn't really help me vis-a-vis invading the left side. He already has enough aji there, so I'd rather just get thick and gain influence towards the right middle. Now I have the clamp and all the good local followups, and no bad aji to talk of. I'm hoping it's honte rather than slow, but as always, that's down to lines of reading that go beyond my event horizon.

hum.... my assessment: points wise i am little behind but my influence will generate more than my point defict. he connected middle group but still its life is unknown and possible to attack. all my groups are solid exception of left side still has weak points but i have plans for that which i will discuss later.

I have never seen this move by a dan player before, even in hamete moves on this joseki. Maybe I'm in for a nasty surprise, but as I can't see it, I'm not backing down.

i remember when i was around 1d level... playing for money in kiwon. High dans play such tricks on me and drove me crazy. i didnt know what i did wrong and had no answer. I memorized all joseki variation but they didnt have answer for that move.
