I cannot think of a move that I really love, but I thought of a move that I'm OK with. His move poses a threat to my group. He can use the weakness of my base to make good shape for himself whenever he wants. For example:

I'm not sure if either of these are best, but in any case, he can make good shape if he needs to.

Peeping at "a" is clearly a weak move at this point because of the relative weakness of my own stones:

The point of my last move was to put pressure on white's two stones - that definitely won't happen if he seals me in.

Trying to do something silly inside will just give Magicwand outside power... So I need to get out of here. I feel uncomfortable, but it's the only thing for me to do, I think. I cannot try to play fast like this, because it is too easy for white to cut me:

A knight's move isn't that great. It just invites white to cut apart my stones.

I think the best move for me to play at this point is a one space jump into the center.

He has only 5 stones on the board right now... I don't know why they look so menacing to me :-p ... It's kind of silly when I think about it like that.

Anyway, emotions aside, the move I played is the best I could think of after thinking for awhile about different possibilities.

Kirby:
I just want to say that I really enjoy the commentary you have put into these last few moves. Also, it seems you are in a better mood about the game than before, which is good.
We don't know who we are; we don't know where we are.
Each of us woke up one moment and here we were in the darkness.
We're nameless things with no memory; no knowledge of what went before,
No understanding of what is now, no knowledge of what will be.

This was not my first choice of move. In a blitz game, I would have likely played here:

The reason reiterates what I mentioned before: it's bad to get sealed in. "a" also serves this purpose, but it must be inferior since it strengthens white on the right.

Anyway, what I don't like is the peep at "b". It seems like Mr. Wand's style, and I feel like he's controlling the pace too much.

So I wanted a way to prevent the cut. Here's one way this could happen:

[go]$$Wcm1 Prisoners: W=0, B=0
$$ ---------------------------------------
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |

$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . , . . . . . , . . . . . , . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . O . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 . . . . |
$$ | . . . X . . . . . . . . . . . X . . . |
$$ | . . . . . O . . X . . O . O . . b . . |

$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ | . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
$$ ---------------------------------------[/go]

Now the peep is somewhat meaningless. Yes, white could seal me in this way. But my compensation is great:

And later I can have fun with black a, white b, black c. This is not the way for Mr. Wand to go.

Of course, he'll probably play this:

But, my friends, the peep is still protected and I can proceed as I desire.

I can say that I am pleased with this move. I cannot identify any mistakes I've made, yet.

So far so good. The reasoning for this move was explained in my last post.

Yep, there are white stones on the board. Do they feel threatening to me right now? Nope.

P4 is novel (well, I've never seen it before), but it has induced white to strengthen his O3 group, which will have a knock on effect on black's J3 stones. I think P4 reflects a preoccupation with territory which seems premature at this stage (and is also pointless, since white can slide from both directions). In it's favour, it does put some extra pressure on R8.

P4 was a bad peep. I'm very surprised Kirby played it. "Don't strengthen your opponent" is basic, and in addition to helping white this damaged black's side group.
That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.

Not for the players.

Augh :-?.

Both players misjudge the relative strengths of the groups. The black group in the corner is safe enough, and even if White peeps and connects, it can still make a base in the corner or go out to the centre. The move Magicwand proposes after the peep (attaching at P3) is the wrong direction, and the move Kirby played is as well. Black should have just played the kosumi at P7, making miai of N3 and attacking the lone white stone on the right.

The important thing in the position was the relative strengths of the groups on the lower side, and N3 was the vital point for securing a base for two opposing groups. Now Black has forced White to take the vital point. Black has lost at least the value of one handicap stone here.

Why do people fear peeps so much? It is just a peep, and you can answer a peep, can't you? There is no reason to preemptively answer an unplayed peep. In this case, Kirby could have played P4 in response to the peep after the peep has been played. Now, White will not peep but perhaps later slide, and Black looks silly for having answered an imaginary threat.
A good system naturally covers all corner cases without further effort.

Magicwand's bottom group is strong, so that reduces the realative strength of my two stones here. Attacking the lone stone on the right is big, but strengthening my group here is bigger. For example:

Will not kill my two stones since white is weak with his stones, too, and I can run in either direction... But, it gives white a lot of forcing moves that he can use to gain central power or to make a strategy.

Plus, this weakens his two stones.

I thought about a leaning attack to pressure his stones more, but I don't have much attack right now. By strengthening, I will wait for a weakness and then attack.

With this move, I still feel like I haven't made any mistakes. I'll try to continue playing moves that keep me feeling that way.

I leave it to the players to decide whether they want to read this hidden comment.

I think the 4 handicap game just became a 3 handicap game.
