You can always check MafiaScum: Completed Games; Games still running

Hopefully I'll be able to run a game here, if there's interest. :)

A variant is a similar game to Mafia/Werewolf, but with different rules, like what we did with Mafia Go #1

For those interested in Mafia/Werewolf, and/or how it is played on a forum, we're now trying to bring new players to the BoardGameGeek Werewolf Forum. To that end, we're starting a bunch of games for new players, in what was called The Fresh Meat Initiative.
Here's the post:

Simply put, we want you to play Werewolf with us. We're always looking for new players and thought it would be fun to take inspiration from the upcoming RPG Geek Play By Forum Initiative (which you should also sign up for!)

What is Werewolf? It's a game of social deduction, similar to The Resistance: Avalon, but with more special roles. The informed minority of players (the wolves) eat one player a night, and you have to kill (lynch) one player each day in an attempt to find them. You live in a democracy, so whoever has the most votes at a set time (dusk) will be killed. An hour later dawn breaks and you find who the wolves ate.

"Isn't most of the fun trying to see facial expressions of who's lying?" That's what I thought too. I love playing Werewolf and The Resistance in person, but I love it even more online. We have the advantage of The Cassandra Project ("Cassy"), which automatically tallies votes, gives you a chat room with the moderator, allows for many things that can't be done in face-to-face gaming and other fun stuff.

For more information, consult Snaak's excellent Guide to Playing Werewolf on BGG.

I'm in, where do I sign up? We're running six games, with dusk at various times throughout the day. You don't have to be around at dusk, but it really helps: that's when the game tends to get frantic (and awesome), so it's best if you can be around to respond to all the wackiness. Here are the games (all times CST/BGG, and titles just for flavor):

Full Moon Party (4 am) (moderator: jamgar)
The Lion, the Witch and the Werewolf (9 am) (moderator: Sigafoos)
Blood in the Village Square (12 pm) (moderators: BlackSheep/TheSparky)
Not Everyone's Special (3 pm) (moderators: Dake/Urza47)
Howl You Survive This? (6 pm) (moderators: clockworkd/Phelanpt)
Castle Werewolfenstein (10 pm) (moderator: Taquelli)

If there's a huge demand for a specific time slot we can add a second game. In order to sign up, you need an account with The Cassandra Project. Send a geekmail to jmilum (or linguistfromhell before Monday the 7th) for an account.

I want to play, but I'm not sure I'd fully understand what's going on. Not a problem! You can ask for a mentor: a more seasoned player will be given a private chat room with you, and knowing only your role they can offer advice as needed. We have a long list of mentors available, so don't be shy! Just send me a geekmail and I'll get you set up.

Come join us!

P.S.- If you'd rather ask me about it instead of going through the above links, go ahead! :)
