I've started playing again a bit after a break. I usually tend to avoid fights since I feel I'm bad at them, but here's one of my recent games which contains some interesting (to me at least) fights. I'd like to get some comments, especially on the fights (both sides, that's why I'm not revealing my color yet), but of course any comments are welcome.

I bet your are white. Since b is happy to mirror you on the diagonal you will have to break the symmetry yourself or play tengen soon. Better to do this at move 1. I would start at r16. If b still plays hoshi you have a real choice about which corner to approach next. If he doesn't you have a better claim towards the last corner. Probably the corners won't get settled as early as in your game leaving more room for w to display his strength.tj86430 wrote:.... I usually tend to avoid fights .......
