Similar here (Northern Germany) … I just tried to load a short thread w/ 12 replies, no problem, then two threads w/ 80+ replies … waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, after about a minute (!) the pages load.

And submitting this comment was fast, but loading the page after that was very slow again, > 1 minute

I haven't seen any problems from portugal, lately. But I'm not sure I've been coming here on European time, so dunno.

I've had major issues trying to connect to the server throughout today.

I had several problems yesterday - no time out though. Mostly it just loaded like forever but eventually the requested page popped up.
