Tygem on Android through vnc.

Post by Alguien »

It's silly but for some reason I didn't think about this before.

I wanted tygem on Android to be able to watch games in my tablet. The solution was pretty simple: Install ultravnc (or another vnc server) on a tabletop computer, install an Android vnc client on the tablet/phone and just open Tygem on the computer.

All free and it takes about two minutes to set this up.

I've been doing this for a while through 2x remote desktop. It works fine for viewing games. Hopefully a real client comes out at some point.

I've been using SwiftGo on my phone to watch tygem games. It isn't in the marketplace so you have to download it manually. It gets the job done. You can only watch and it has some problems when you tilt or open a physical keyboard but as long as you keep it upright and don't use the keyboard it works fine (until it eventually freezes your phone).

I thought about using it, but I don't install apps that haven't passed through the market and that ask for more permissions than what's reasonable or justified.

Completely agreed with this. I saw swiftgo a while ago, and it made me nervous to install.
