I received word from stalkor that he is currently too busy to play, so lobotommy gets a BYE. That means all games have finished on time this round, and the next starts.

The matches:
Uberdude - herminator
Practise - quantumf
tommyray - Laman

The deadline is the end of this month!

Friday 16h00 GMT it is, or 11h00 EST (this is 5am on a Saturday for Loons!)

i should be playing with lobotommy at 20:30 CET time today, that is in 37 minutes

EDIT 21:46 - so far no show by lobotommy. as an excuse for him, he'd written he would "try to log into kgs today at 20:30", but given it was on the same day as the planned game, i am pretty disappointed his try didn't succeed

Herman won. It was an interesting large scale game and I had a slight lead until I miscounted and decided to play a move I knew didn't work (n17) because I would still win anyway if he answered correctly, but I didn't and lost.

So is this a no-show win by default, or are you rescheduling?

Thanks Laman

In short: Veni, Vidi, Vici.
First problems arose after a "joseki" in upper right corner. Black was happy to block white group in the corner, but in the same time he got classic situation - two groups on the outside, cuttted and vulnerable. White attacked with clear simple moves and was building enormous central strenght. It looked like black will have really heavy task to bring back a balance to thr game. Suddenly white made very bad decision on the bottom and two things happend: his corner died, and the rest of the stones only made enough space for two eyes. But in sente, so not so bad. White was behind in territory at this moment, so he needed to move in motion his central strength. But next bad decisions were just about to come, and black go chance to destroy all central potential of white. White tries to block black on the bottom but with no good result and when center area shrinks there was no chance for white to catch up due to solid black stones everywhere. The cherry at the top was killing white group in the corner which result in white's resign.
I was playing (as black) with patience in my mind, counting points all the time, just waiting for my chance. And it eventually come and gave me a win.

Thank you Laman for a game. We are even now ;) - Laman has won our first game few months ago, so this time was my "revenge" ;).

This round was very quick, well done!

So now, we have the following two games in the loser's bracket:

Practise - crux (venkman)
Uberdude - tommyray (lobotommy)

The winners of those games then play against each other to determine who plays against the loser of:

:rambo: The Winner's Final :rambo:

ez4u vs. herminator

The only two remaining undefeated players!

As always, full bracket is at: http://hiddema.nl/L19-2012.html
