Best threads/posts in L19
We're about 2.5 years old now, and we've had time to accumulate some good stuff. If you were trying to introduce L19 to another go player, what threads/posts would you recommend? What is the best of L19?
My favorites are Herman's "Little group with one eye" ( viewtopic.php?f=55&t=3130 )
and Araban vs Magicwand ( viewtopic.php?f=37&t=3164 )
If you like math puzzles, then look at this off-topic post. viewtopic.php?p=137369#p137369 ( It is best to read the first post, then scan the thread, then read post #40 )
It may be a bit arrogant to list my own posts, but I thought that these entries in the creative writing forum were decent:
http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewto ... =55&t=2834
http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewto ... =55&t=3036
Also, I like the first part of this thread: http://www.lifein19x19.com/forum/viewto ... f=8&t=7886
The term 'honte' considered in depth: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9167

I always enjoy seeing new posts at Mainstream Go Sightings. If I remember more I'll post them.

I second this as one of the best posts. It was, and is still, very useful in providing a study guide.

Re: Best threads/posts in L19
I am somewhat new to L19x19, but I saw a recent post where wms discusses the financial situation at KGS:
http://lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=111229#p111229
Another post of interest from 2010 I encountered was Bill Spight discussing why not to run in go:
http://lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12136#p12136
Brilliant post of Hikaru No Go music played on the piano by ear:
http://lifein19x19.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4223
edited to add posts.

Bill Spight's post on Go Seigen on the sanrensei: viewtopic.php?p=77638#p77638. I have searched for this post at least three times since I initially read it, and just now, I linked to it from sensei's.

One Word for Good Go is one of my favorites, and I would certainly point it out to someone new to go and / or the forum.
Patience, grasshopper.

Re: Best threads/posts in L19
I think this is one of the more interesting posts I have read. It came to mind today when I was thinking about depth of reading. Be sure to read John's post further in the thread regarding Yoda Norimoto superimposing images from his memory on the current position he is analyzing. Fascinating.
