Hi!
I am looking for tips on good places to read up on and learn about how to calculate precise values of endgame moves. I've been looking at the stuff on Sensei's and I've noticed that there are some experts on these things. Has any of these experts compiled information online? Is there a book on this subject?
I am familiar with the basics of calculating the endgame, but I would like to know more.

"Mathematical Go: Chilling Gets the Last Point" by Elwyn Berlekamp and David Wolfe is the source for most of the very precise endgame calculation stuff. It's the application of John Conway's work on mathematical games to Go specifically (see also the "Winning Ways for Your Mathematical Plays" series for the general theory).
Bill Spight has done some research in this area, if hunt around online you can find some pdfs of research papers.

There is a lot of stuff on Sensei's but it is not so easy to find.
The Method of Multiples gives a basic rationale for traditional (and modern) evaluation of positions. The evaluation of positions comes first. The evaluation of moves is derived from the values of positions.

It is nice to see this book advertised! R.K Guy was one of my maths professors. What a cool guy!
