Nah.
We all need you here, dude! Saying all you have to say and more. Really. ;)

My point is that sometimes you/me/people tend to over-state their case. This is my impression here, t'is all.
But far it be for me to throw the first stone, heh.
So carry on as you were and don't mind my fussing.

I'm delighted my post has generated so much discussion, although I am not sure anyone has been convinced of anything. There's a new Go server BTW, http://Nova.gs and I was told that players can implement komi pie by agreement using chat before the game starts. Perhaps this would be possible on other servers also. I personally would not want to initiate such a conversation, though, unless I knew my opponent well enough to be reasonably certain it would not be annoying to do so.

Go is by far the deepest board game played by a large number of people. If computers ever "conquer" the 19x19 grid, humans might "take refuge" on a larger grid. If that ever happens, that could be an opportunity for proponents of komi pie to make their move. Until then, we shall lurk in the shadows.

Realistically, any server that let's you set komi allows you to implement it (Offhand, I'm having trouble thinking of a server that doesn't allow for custom komi. I'm fairly certain all the ones I've played a number of games on have it). I don't think a move to 21x21 will happen any time soon (And if we ever do move to 21x21, I'm not so sure we'll be able to overtake computers assuming they can already beat us on 19x19).
