Does the architecture allow for different UI styles? (And by that I mean not only different colors but also a different design.) Maybe it would be even possible for someone from the community to provide another experience here.

Would be an interesting idea to allow local CSS style sheets to format the layout. I've seen that on other sites but I have no idea whether this is planned for Kaya

There are browser extensions that make it easy to add custom CSS and JavaScript, so you can already customize the UI if you want. There's of course no guarantee that your tweaks will keep working after an update, but that doesn't seem to be a big risk with Kaya.

Thats right. Requires some programming skill, but it can be done rather easily. A user did this and got rid of the header back when it was big.
