Game Clock for Android

Post by Dalmas »

I published a clock app yesterday, ideal for two player games, which may interest some of you.

It acts like a real tournament clock and has many features :
- Handle 7 different time systems (listed below)
- Undo any number of moves
- Restore the clock (if you accidentally close it or want to resume it later)
- Sound warnings if you're running out of time (can be disabled, or adjusted)
- Edit player times or change settings while playing
- Display the clock vertically or horizontally
- Remembers the settings you used last time
- Multiple text styles available
- Optimized for both phones and tablets
- Almost everything is configurable

Time systems available :
- Japanese Byo-yomi
- Canadian overtime
- Sudden death
- Sudden death + additional time (for example, 30 min + 15 min after 40 moves)
- Hourglass
- Fischer
- Bronstein

Game specific features :
- For Go players : on Canadian overtime, automatically pauses the clock to let you take your stones

It is available on Google Play :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.lrstudios.android.gameclock

Like my other apps, I try to be responsive and fix any issues quickly. So if you find a bug or have a suggestion, you can send me an email or discuss it here. :)

I haven't tried it so I can't say for sure. From what I see it's a good app, it has everything a go clock needs to have.
Its features are similar, but I think that it lacks a good design and interface, and also some minor features like resuming the clock easily, or displaying the clock horizontally or vertically. I don't know if it can undo any number of moves.

Igo Clock seems to have more warning settings however, but I will add additional ones in the next updates.

I removed the app from Google Play temporarily, I will make it free so that everyone can try it without limitations. There will be ads that you can disable for the current price.

Great clock. Adds positioned perfectly not to obstruct functionality.
Thank you.
