native korean rank system name
If you have a japanese rank, it might be abbreviated 1k NHK since it's established by the Nihon Ki-in. But what if your rank is established by the Korean Baduk Association? Abbreviation?

Re: native korean rank system name
This is not an official answer, but in my experience people just say what rank they are (eg. 3dan, 2gup, etc.). This leads to some ambiguity depending on who you talk to. In some places I've been, the older person just takes white for the first game and handicaps are adjusted for subsequent games.

If you're going to go with abbreviations, perhaps it would be better to use a different one than NHK -- it might get confused with the Japanese broadcasting association which (last I knew of) even sponsors it's own go tournament.
