Well, the claim that Go has is that it's the oldest game still played in its original form, or at least only a minor deviation. Even the Egyptian game Senet predates Go, but we have no idea how it's played other than that it's some sort of racing game.

It would be amazing, and very cool, if they could somehow reconstruct the rules of that game. Doubt it's possible though.
