Re: Place to discuss GO in English?
There is some limited discussion on Facebook, Reddit and Google+ but the only detailed conversation I see in English is on here. Excluding more focused groups like the Go Teaching Ladder, Sensei's Library talk pages and similar.

Yeah, but maybe it seems quieter here than usual.
I think a lot of discussion happens in some of the game and journal threads, and if you're not following those, you miss out on a lot.
Is there a way to see at a glance what the most popular sub-forums or threads are? That way maybe we could hang out there can catch some action.

The game review threads are probably the most interesting for me, though I imagine this is going to rather strength dependent since we don't have dan players putting up games for public dissection very often. Malkovich games between dan players might be the best place to look for analysis of more high level play.

For the sake of the following argument I consider myself a Dan-player. The reason why I don't post games is that I rarely see (higher) Dan-players reviewing a game. (And I'm also fortunate to know a strong Dan-player, who reviews my games quite often.)

Um, I see Bill doing quite a number of reviews, also mitsun often adds some thoughts just off the top of my head. I'm sure others do too, I'm just being forgetful.

Re: Place to discuss GO in English?
I often find that I don't really get responses when I do post. For example, this one: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9022
Though, in that particular case it probably is a case of me overanalyzing and the resulting TL;DR-ness. I do find that I rarely get responses when I post my games. Maybe it's because they are too awful for good players to examine carefully and less experienced players are hesitant to comment.

Re: Place to discuss GO in English?
I don't usually read game threads and I don't even know what malkovich is. I rarely comment on games because it is not easy to do so in a thread, as opposed to a regular game. Perhaps there is an easy way and I am just missing something.
Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Malkovich example: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=8049
Reviewing: Most people seem to download the game and use GoWrite or whatever sgf editor they prefer to do the commenting and then upload.

Perhaps I am partly responsible for making L19 seem quiter as I used to post a lot but haven't been active here for the past few months.
