If you don't already subscribe to dwyrin on YouTube, he does a weekly series where he selects 3-4 pro games that were played in the last week and that he thinks are either interesting, good for kyus to study, or both.
This week, his picks were particularly good so I wanted to let you guys know about these games if you are interested in studying/looking at pro games. He did say it was a good week in pro go and that he had a lot of good games to pick so that might be why this week was so good.
Here's his video for this week: Batt's Go Picks Week #8
And here are the three games he picked:
Game 1 - a balanced game
Game 2 - starts balanced, moves to aggression
Game 3 - an aggressive game
There were also a couple of runner-up games, but I haven't looked at those yet. I really liked the first pick. It was easy to follow and did actually cover everything. Attack and defense, life and death, invasions and reductions, making shape, capturing races. All good things to see pros handle.
If you enjoy studying pro games but are unsure what games to look at you can look through his previous weeks. There are a lot of good games in there.

Re: Batt's Go Picks
I've loved this series ever since he started doing it.
Every time I tried to look at professional games before I felt overwhelmed with the choices.
Having suggestions and a little synopsis is amazingly helpful.
I've even gained a few new favorite players from watching and going through his recommendations.

Re: Batt's Go Picks
Haven't watched these particular ones but plan to sometime. I'd never really considered studying any pro games before seeing some of his How To Study Pro Games videos, not that I've looked at many on my own even after that, so many moves that just make me go

Batt's "How to Study Professional Games" series are some of my all time favorite video lectures: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLv4MbeLo6yXlc2kTAmFtGJqDCI9t_4tx6

Re: Batt's Go Picks
I miss his game series so very much I've thought a million times about paying him directly to post more of those. I've also thought about putting together a small group of people who love them as much as myself to pay a part each.
I've seen each of the ones he has in youtube and twitch too many times, to the point that I don't just remember the games but even the speech. Like a teenager with his favorite songs.
Now, the very rare times he uploads another game, instead of watching it I store it for days, cherishing the thought that I've still got one game to watch. And once I've seen it, another thought grows stronger every week. The thought that he might never post another one.
And I hate every other game he plays for stealing the chances of a new go video. I hate Cities XL, I hate Mirror's Edge, I hate them all.
There. I said it and I'm not ashamed of my childish fanboyism.
(Ok. I am a little ashamed)
