I think you have a typo in there somewhere--you're listing Yuki Satoshi as left for Japan, but then you have him as the last remaining player.

Well, at least Cho U did defeat Chen Yaoye, in my opinion one of the top 3 in China, an opponent that Iyama Yuta (top 1 Japan) lost to recently, and even Park Junghwan and Lee Sedol felt many times against Chen.

We all know that Japan is in a slump since a long time, players outside top 10 of Japan probably don't stand a chance even again a top 20-30 in Korea or China. Their top 10 players (Cho U, Takao, Yamashita, Hane, Kono...) can win some games in international tournaments, but we still don't see them go further than a 1/16 or quarter final. Iyama is the only hope, but he's like a lonely star, and right now I think he's still slightly weaker than China or Korea top 5. Hope to see him more in international tournament, maybe after completing his "all 7"

But I agree that Japan should train their young players harder in international tournaments (as they're starting to do now), maybe in 3-4 years we can see them doing better.
