Today I found out that there are seven titles in Japan when it comes to Japanese chess and that Yoshiharu Habu once held all seven at the same time. Amazing, right?
What about Go, who's held the most titles simultaneously?
Who has held the most titles at the same time?

Well, at the end of 2013, Iyama Yuta held six of the seven big Japanese titles. The only one he missed out on was the Judan, where he was runner up.

In go the answer will also change if you include: China & Korea, smaller titles, and international titles. My guess would actually be Yi Ch'ang-ho, where he won 13-titles in 1995. He also held six of the seven big Korean titles in 2001.
