Hello,
I tried to get back to playing after a short stop... I thought I would do it right and review it / get it reviewed.
I've made my own comments and raised questions along the file. The most critical one are numbered 1/ to 6/.
Feel free to answer any other one you see fit.
Many thanks in advance to those who will spend the time to look at the file and comment it.
Cheers,

A few comments:
@move 8

@move 58
Instead of s7 earlier I would probably have q8. Looks slightly dangerous, but being able to run out with p11 is a constant threat, so black isn't immortal either, and looks like you only need one eye inside black's center, which shouldn't be very hard.

@move 8
You're still failing. He didn't play Kobayashi.I failed to recognize the "Kobayashi opening".
@move 42
I'd say you should s8 before s14, seems like a very crucial exchange. (And if he responds with a hane instead of a descent you can even capture q11. If that's a bright idea is another question.)Is the sequence correct here?
@move 58
I don't think too early, rather too late.4/ Is it too early? A move at A would have been big. I felt I had to erode that power but Black got so much reinforcement in the process...

I don't really know, but since it doesn't look like you can live locally, I would first attach at c13 and then later decide how to use c9.Is crosscut better?

It looks like Kobayashi though (http://senseis.xmp.net/?KobayashiFuseki), no?leichtloeslich wrote:@move 8You're still failing. He didn't play Kobayashi.I failed to recognize the "Kobayashi opening".

I frankly have no idea, guess I shouldn't have been screaming "lol fail!" at innocent 2kyus.jug wrote: It looks like Kobayashi though (http://senseis.xmp.net/?KobayashiFuseki), no?
Basically I thought Kobayashi was black 7 at d10. The senseis page you linked says one major variant is black 7 at d11.
(In the game black 7 is at d9 and leaves quite an easy invasion for white, but who knows, maybe anything 4th line that reinforces both the open komoku and the hoshi approach *somehow* is called Kobayashi.)

Thanks, I indeed didn't notice the difference in placement.leichtloeslich wrote: @move 8

It seems this pattern was played by a few strong players on KGS and managed as Kobayashi but my pro games database doesn't have this move in it.
Interesting idea. I felt compelled to save my group but I missed any sente move I could play around. The exchange of S8 for T9 feels a bit favorable for Black though as it damages both sides at once.leichtloeslich wrote: @move 42

Yes. I like that. From a shape standpoint, it's so much better. Also, it's much more active.leichtloeslich wrote: @move 58

Good point, while it may not help in the end result, it commits fewer stones to the same effort.leichtloeslich wrote: @move 100

True, I had my eyes on it the whole time but couldn't find time to play it (vs. other moves). It did hit me hard later on.EdLee wrote:,

Yes, I should have delayed this move. I thought Black had to add a move there and therefore I would profit from "punishing".EdLee wrote:feels small and not urgent: B has an open skirt anyway, thanks to

OK. Thanks for confirming.EdLee wrote:very happy to reply as you did.
Thought about it but I assumed I would get away with it. After Black enclose my group, I feel really bad.EdLee wrote:both of you missed Q5 for so long. Locally, maybe possible to consider the ko Q7.
Do you think S17 was too small? It seems like the usual move in this position.EdLee wrote:probably part of the problem was
