I have been trying to figure out appropriate komi and value of handicap stones for different ranks, there is a marked difference just between KGS high dans and pro players. Curious to explore how the value of handicap continues to change as ranks get lower.

Any advice on where I could attain a large collection of game results. I have the kgs high dan games, and go4go pro games. But would also need more varied material for my study. Ideally something like full archives of EGF or KGS or some other go server. And of course all I really need are the game results, handicap, date, players not the actual game records (tho I dont mind if the data is provided as sgf files).

I think Dgs has that sort of data available - though it might be better to ask an admin for it before pinging the site with lots of requests.

You know about http://europeangodatabase.eu/? Email Aldo the admin there and he can probably give you a db dump.

S2W is right. On DGS similar game-info has been requested in 2010. I've updated it to cover all DGS-games from 2001 to 15-Aug-2014 available for download (ca. 830.921 games) as gzipped CSV-files.

Not all games have been played to the end (perhaps a good idea to filter on number of moves and skipping timeouts).
