London Open Go Congress 2014

Post by gerryg »

I just thought I'd mention that registration is open for the LOGC.

Not all the details have been finalised yet, however I'm hoping that there will be some interesting news to announce in the near future

What I can tell you now is that to the generosity of the Central London Go Club (http://central.londongoclub.co.uk/members.php) there will be prizes for 1st and 2nd place "below the bar" of £150 and £75.

Similarly, thanks to the generosity of the City of London Go Club (http://www.citygoplayers.org.uk/) there will be a prize of £50 for the highest ranked player with a GoR below 10 kyu at the start of the tournament.

Sorry, just to be sure, but because it's very unlikely for me to participate in all seven rounds, I would probably play for only one or two days. I don't know exactly how many days and on which days I'll play, so I want to know weather you havr to notify the organizers in advance befor the tournament which exact day you will miss, or do you notify on the day?

As a reminder, I’ll quote from your FB post, Gerry ;-)
London Open Go Congress - only 1 week until prices go up for entry

76 players from 18 countries ranging from 7 dan to 20 kyu

As well as the main tournament, there's pair Go and lightning Go.

We've got prizes galore and two professionals attending.
