Does anyone know who did the commentary on TV? It must have been challenging!
Kobayashi Koichi did it.

As was previously pointed out, Cho U used this opening a month or two ago. He also used it on Tygem as Tenzaru2? I've been trying to get a collection of these games to see how this opening works, but so far I only have 2

Could you share the tygem game with us on this thread?

Sorry, I hadn't had my coffee yet, so I was not clear: the only games I have are this one, and the one Cho U used in a demo match a few months ago, which is in another thread. I have none of the Tygem games, though I want them badly.
Is anyone on PC Tygem? Is there a feature to pull down the tenzaru2 games, historically? I have only been able to get Tygem to work on my Ipad, and the app does not seem to have a historical games feature.

I can't save the kifu from there, but I can see the game on the Japan server of WBaduk (using android app). Maybe it will appear on
http://igokisen.web.fc2.com/jp/gosei.html in the future or go4go.

Again, Judan preliminaries 2014-10-13, So beat Cho Sonjin by resignation, using this twisted black hole opening. Game record available in go4go.net
His opponents might get frustrated sooner or later.
Cheers,

Looking at the game against Takemiya above, I find it fascinating how flexible pros usually are when they play unconventional openings. If I see a kyu player start with an opening like that, my assumption is that they'll do everything possible to end up with a single moyo in the center. But that's a bad plan: even with an opening like this, you have to be flexible. In the middle game, Black spends some time bullying a white group that's in Black's top moyo, but it arises naturally, and Black has already taken a couple of low/corner positions by that point. I've noticed the same thing with my recent favorite opening (stones to the left and right of tengen), and the handful of professionals who've tried it out.
