you may as well have written a trigger for that. Obviously black connects.

If nobody complains I will continue like that (I marked the moves). So next Black to play.

Do you know how it is short before you feel something was wrong with the food? Same feeling for me here^^. On the up side my stones on the right side are roughly connected and Black's lower moyo still has some holes.

Well, IMX most amateurs do not play this way, so it is unfamiliar. Also, light play always contains an offer of a sacrifice (at least one). It is often incorrect, especially early in the game, to accept the offer. If possible it is better to up the ante, to attack on a larger scale than the offer, so that the light stones become heavy, because the sacrifice becomes too big. drmwc's double hane is a good example of upping the ante.

For my move, I also considered this:
This is calm, aims at cutting at a, strenthens the corner and builds a moyo. But it's far too calm for me!
Here's my current thoughts:

Since it came from drm..., a 4d, well' continue like this, Black to play now:
As u can see White continues to move like a butterfly, just creating opportunities, waiting to sting into Black's moyo or to tenuki big. Tygem's SE, that I consider a better estimator, says White leads with 6.5.

The butterfly is stalking its prey, a Bengal tiger, from a distance, biding its time.
Unaware of the pursuit by this beautiful, but deadly predator, the tiger hasn't yet noticed the sword of Damocles dangling over its striped head. And it is only a matter of time until the two-winged menace will make its move..

Ok, before the next dan comes up with a move for Black, see this and how a strong KGS-1k can be screwed by my havoc-style
.
makes
look foolish.
provides impetus for a splitting attack against R10.
and
stones now, the O13 attachment looks nice to carve off a weak white group, and there's a reason most people don't shoulder hit 4th line stones on a regular basis. If black just does something simple like N5, white's connection to the two M8 stones is also quite tenuous.
