Four month ago the European Go Federation anounced Pavol Lisy and Ali Jabarin as the first European Go professional players. Now those two amazed the Japanese pros: Pavol won against Hashimoto Kan 1p in an exchange match Japan vs. Europe and Ali won against Saito Tadashi 8p in the first round of the 11th Sankei tournament.
Both got praised by the Japanese players. Obviously, Europe is a force to be reckoned with in the future.

As far as I know, they go to Beijing for training and have currently no planned games in Japan.

I'd like to just ask, if you know where any sgf files of the games are? I want to analyse the game with the whole L19 community.
On Go proverbs:
"A fine Gotation is a diamond in the hand of a dan of wit and a pebble in the hand of a kyu" —Joseph Raux misquoted.

It was the Kansai Kiin who invited them.

Re: European players made a huge impact
Reading between the lines, the reason they played at the Kansai Ki-in was down to the involvement of the Kansai Ki-in professional who is a member of the EGF executive board. There is no published schedule of tournaments the Euro-pros get to play in, so we don't know where they will play next.
