Hello everyone I played my first few full sized boards on KGS last night and this morning. Please help critique my game play and help me determine where I am in terms of rank.

No problem - btw treat everything I say with a grain if salt (I usually make at least one colossal blunder each review

Re: My first few games on KGS
In the second game, I just want to mention the move
: With this move you save a single stone, which does not have a big function (it is e. g. no major cutting stone, nor is it essential of connecting your groups etc.). As a result, w makes a big toothpaste shape in your influence zone causing major trouble. Try to find out how you can sacrifice your F4 stone while barring w's way into the center!

And the first game - wow you had that 5k on the ropes. Nicely done!
I don't think you need to play 50 games before asking for a review - like the 1 k said you seem to have a really good sense of shape and a talent for fighting.

At s2w I'm not sure why I used that opening! The truth is I don't think I know opening well and I get confused on how to invade and attack

I think it important to keep in mind that we are not all alike and that advice cannot be "one size fits all" even if that "all" is almost all" or even "all but the rare exception".
"Lose fifty games first" is not the right way for this person, who is ready for reviews right now.
Thus not many of us learn well from books without doing but some very few of us do. I was perhaps about 10 kyu before* I ever got to actually play a game of go against anybody, human or computer. Of course there is a down side for us folk. We are close to helpless with these modern devices that come without proper instructions and expect you to be able to figure them out by fiddling with them.
* Actually I once had a couple games against some kids who had learned the game, but all they could tell me was "wow, you are enough stronger than we are that we can't even tell by how much, and you've never played before".
