Anyone in Monterey Area?
I don't know anyone at all in the Monterey area who plays go, so I just figured I'd give it a shot and see if I might find any playing partner... If you're lower than 6k I will do my best to get you up to playing even games because I just want to use this board that I have for more than problems and self-review.

There are a lot of clubs in the bay area, though farther south might get tricky. The AGA lists a club in Santa Cruz: http://www.usgo.org/where-play-go?state=CA#listing

yeah, I might go to school up in Santa Cruz which would be cool if they're still doing a club there. I just wish I could find someone in Monterey to play. It seems like it should be possible considering the Defense Language Institute and the fact that this area was originally a hotbed for Japanese immigration.

If they are still active, please post it in this thread. The last time that I tried to find them - several years ago - there was nobody there.

Re: Anyone in Monterey Area?
When I move up to Santa Cruz, even if there isn't a club still going, I'll start another club. (I'm assuming, of course, that I get in and they don't offer me significantly less than another school)
