Strength of MFoG Ver12 Registered?
I am seriously considering shelling out the 90 dollars for the Registered Many Faces of Go version 12. However there seems to be some confusion as to the strength of the program depending on which page you are looking at. One page says the program is 1-Dan on 19x19 (3-Dan 9x9), and the other says it is 2-kyu. Does anyone have any definitive answers? I run an AMD quad core 3.5ghz w/8 gig ram. Thanks

Re: Strength of MFoG Ver12 Registered?
MFOG 12 was at about 2 kyu when first released but with the latest update should be at 1 dan KGS on a decent home machine (would be 2-3 dan on a REALLY powerful work station). The latest update was a while back.
In judging the price of MFOG need to take into account that gives a "household" license. That's only a factor if several family members play go, but if they do, makes it a bargain compared to software licensed "for one installation on one machine".
